Hathi Gaon (Elephant Village), located near the historic Amber Fort in Jaipur, is a unique community designed as a natural habitat for over 100 elephants and their mahouts (caretakers). Spread across approximately 30 hectares, it was established by the Rajasthan government to provide a structured, ethical alternative to traditional urban elephant keeping.
